About This Course

The Central Inspection is a central oversight body for the public administration of the Lebanese Republic. It was created during the era of President Fouad Chehab. The Central Inspection monitors the performance of public administrations and institutions, as well as municipalities through inspections of all kinds and seeks to improve administrative work methods by advising the administrative authorities spontaneously or at their request, coordinates joint work between various public administrations, and conducts studies, investigations, and work commissioned by the authorities through specialized inspectors appointed on the basis of their expertise in the various areas of their General Inspectorates.

Since its establishment, the Central Inspection, as an oversight body, has been engaged in the detection and prosecution of corruption and is working today to establish the principles of good governance, transparency and the Right to Access Information through the digitalization of public administrations and the creation of a space for cooperation between ministries and municipalities through the IMPACT information platform developed in 2020 to assess the reality, coordinate data, and follow up implementation to raise the level of citizens' public service
