Basma Abdul Khalek contributes to building strong institutions, through policy research and advocacy, capacity building and partnerships. Since 2018, she has been actively involved in advancing Public Procurement Reform in Lebanon through the coordination of MAPS assessment that led to the Public Procurement Law no.244/2021. She also facilitated the work on the national procurement reform strategy. She is accompanying reform implementation through fostering stakeholders’ engagement, partnership building with national and international organizations, awareness raising and knowledge-to-policy initiatives
